This graduate short film by Eran May-raz and Daniel Lazo depicts a future enhanced with bio-augmented reality and a sinister consequence of that technology.
This also looks interesting: aupcoming HBO documentary called About Face that speaks with former supermodels and talks about plastic surgery and the business of beauty.
Here’s another dialogue-less short film; this time, a touching story about a bullied kid who – with a piece of chalk (iseewhatyoudidthere) – uses a creative outlet to overcome.
Also, the kid (Justen Beer) is amazing.
Man, the output of quality works from animation schools lately has been phenomenal; this dialogue-free animated short film by 4 Supinfocom Arles students is no exception..
Also, here’s the trailer for Zero Dark Hour, the new film from Hurt Locker director Katherine Bigelow about the events of SEAL Team Six and the hunt for Osama Bin Laden. Slightly underwhelming, but I’m still looking forward to it.
This takes me back to my youth making stop motion shorts with my Aliens action toys, except this time it’s with Batman and totally not shit.
Sixty-seven years ago today the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Both History and Life have posted galleries of lesser seen photos depicting the damage inflicted and Mental Floss profiled the crew of the Enola Gray and what they had to say about the bombing.
