The World’s Oldest Photograph

Joseph Nicéphore Niépce’s “View from the Window at Le Gras” was taken in 1826 and is considered the world’s oldest surviving photograph. Starting September 9, the photo, which is usually housed in the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas, will be on display at the Reiss-Engelhorn-Museen Mannheim.

Following on from Boris Johnson’s Olympic Welcome, is cassetteboy’s re-edit of 15 editions of The BBC’s News at Six. Brilliant.

Using actual 1970’s Carl Zeiss Super Speed lenses, this music video successfully recreates the retro look and feel of 70s/80s action shows and with great tongue in cheek humor.

With two prior DUIs, David Wheaton led cops along highways around western and northern Houston, at one point reaching 92 mph, the official limit for the micro-vehicle. Eventually Wheaton drove all the way to his driveway, where police arrested him without fuss.
