Am home early today thanks to the flu looking to do something vile to my body. But just as the night is darkest before the dawn, a new fucking Dark Knight Rises trailer has made my fevered evening more endurable. Unlike the latest Prometheus trailer (that’s rumoured to be filled to the brim with devil-worshiping spoilers), this one at first, seem like it’s gonna head into that territory but then, Christopher Nolan’s shining fucking name blazes across the screen and it almost mutates into this insanely pants tightening sense of ‘okay… fuck yes. This is gonna be awesome.’

That or the flu meds are finally starting to work.

Into the Abyss

Spent quite the bit of this weekend going over some Herzog material, particularly Into the Abyss, his recent documentary film that revolves around capital punishment and its subsequent TV mini-series On Death Row. Both are chillingly astute observations, not so much of the United State’s justice/prison system, but more about the microcosm that the people involved now live in. Very recommended.

Probably the last Watchmen related thing I’ll post. Not that I’ve been posting much about Watchmen. Not that I really care. This video is amusing anyway.

The trailer for The Brothers Bloom is out and this is near the top of my can’t wait to see list of upcoming movies. Big love for Rian Johnson and Brick and the word is this is right up there. Check the proper HD trailer hereA.

And finally, coming back to porn, is Isabella Rossellini’s Green Porno, which is now out with a second season. Green Porno is a series of videos where Isabella Rossellini reenacts the animal kingdoms mating ritual with cardboard cutouts. I remember when the first season came out and it was a bitch to try to watch it outside of the US but now its all viewable in any country and viewable here. Its awesome.

I hurt now. How do these people put themselves through such torture? Endorphins are good and perhaps being cut studly and buff is good too, but ow. Didn’t help the leg either. Besides, I can tackle down a mountain lion with two hands behind my back (three lions with one hand btw).

Then again, Bruce Willis can headbutt a tank and make it explode in the air, as you can see from the Die Hard 4 trailer here.

So yeah, once again absent, but this time I’ve at least got around to putting a few updates to the rest of the site. Some art stuff is finally up and added a couple of photos to the ever changing header. Sub-sections for films will eventually go up along with downloadable videos. It’s all in a bid to make myself a little more pro-active and less depressed about the things I’m being slack at.

Elsewhere, our end of year films are starting to get made and they’re shaping up quite nicely I hear. Mines still chugging along slowly, but thats only because I’ve been too busy curing world hunger… and not because I’m lazy.

Yesterday I got to finally go to the Armageddon convention and sheer geekiness poured out of every window that was allowed open. Got some great bargains on cheep DVDs and comics, whilst touching myself a lot watching Blade Runner on the big screen. Totally awesome, but totally poor too. Still, I’m looking forward to it next year.

Oh and this should have been posted a lot earlier, but the trailer for 300 is officially out and dear god… it is also something to touch yourself over. Downloadable here.
